A FIRST DRAFT WAS PERFORMED AT OPERFORMANCEF, LONDON, 01/2026,Â
Market Mouth is a lecture-performance led by the Network Pierrot, a cybernetic clown descended from commedia dell'arte, a figure built to entertain and to absorb loss. She teaches the audience how financialised economies work. Her voice channels guttural and sensuous libidinal registers of the market; a choreographic score translates mechanisms such as debt and derivatives into movement. She addresses the audience directly, switching personas as she goes: dominatrix with two slaves who serve as furniture, teacher, mechanical Barbie, clown-next-door.
The lecture keeps breaking down into the sounds beneath it, and there the audience learns what the market does to a body, and what a body can do back.
